Growing up in Western New York, my father said that if I brought home one more stray animal, I would be going with it to the SPCA! I wanted to keep them all, but we already had a houseful. Fortunately for me, and the animals I brought home, my Dad would find them wonderful homes with his co-workers and friends. So it seemed natural that for many years, I would pet, house, and child sit for my family, friends and co-workers.
I have had the privilege to work as a relief sitter, with an amazing pet sitter who has encouraged me to get out there on my own. She has been a generous mentor and continues to support me. My household currently is “owned” by Zoe cat. I know how blessed I am to have a trusted friend look after her and my home when I have to be away. I want to be that trusted friend for you. You might wonder what I get out of the deal. Yes, you will have to pay me, but I get the opportunity to receive unconditional love from your pets, I get to be outdoors, be my own boss, and I get peace of mind that your pets have someone looking out for them who truly cares about their welfare.
